I just love this little guy. He is SO smart and his little imagination keeps me laughing all day long. He loves to build and fix things and is the happiest kid in the world if he is using tools of some sort. He is a little clone of his Daddy- which I love!
This morning (because Brad has been in Texas all week) Gabe and I mowed the lawn. Note- This is the first time in our 7+ years marriage I have mowed Brad's precious lawn. Hence, I am not too savy with our lawn mower. In fact I had some trouble getting it started and my 3 year old was the one who was instructing me. He also knew where the gas can was when we ran out...I didn't!
While I was sweeping he turned to me and said as he does all throughout the day at random times:
Gabe- "...so how's your day?"
Me- "Good, it's pretty warm out here huh? We are working really hard, How's your day going so far?"
Gabe- "Good (***big sigh***) we are working really hard huh Mummy? You are doing a good job to mow the lawn"
Me- "Thanks son" =)
A couple of weeks ago Gabe was "fixing the flat tire on his Mater" I got some cute pics of him "working" I love how he comes up with this stuff all on his own. Pretty clever "Jack" huh?!
My little guy
He cracks me up. This is the BEST job in the world!

Faces of Gabe
I love this little boy more than words could ever express. Right before I quit working full time just recently I had a couple of people try and tell me that I would likely have a hard time adjusting to being a stay at home mum because no one would be telling me how great I was all day and that I would likely feel unappreciated. Those individuals couldn't have been more wrong. Now what I wake up to in the morning and NOT at 5:00 am anymore is my little guy crawling into bed with me and a sweet kiss. All day I get to hear "I love you so much", "thank you mum", "please", "you're welcome mum", "Mmmmm nummy in my tummy", "that smells yummy mum", "you look cute today mum", "you want to cuddle and kiss with me mum?", "want to play with me mum?" etc etc. Of course there are the spills, the odd crying fit, wiping of boogers and tears, cleaning up of messes, unblocking of toilets (that was interesting!), sweeping of floors (10+ times a day) etc etc, but the truth is I wouldn't change it for the world. I'm exactly where I should be doing exactly what I want to be doing. I feel extraordinarily grateful to my wonderful husband for working so hard so that as he puts it I can "stay home and play." I feel like the luckiest girl in the world and sometimes I feel myself wanting to laugh out loud because I am so happy. I'd take all that motherhood has to offer and the chance to look at Gabe's sweet little face all day long over a busy, stressful career ANY DAY!
I had lots of fun taking these pics of Gabe recently. He is such a funny kid. He tells me these elaborate funny stories all day long that just crack me up. I am one lucky mummy to be able to have him as my son!
